DICTIONARY

DICTIONARY
DESCRIPTION:
dictionary is collection of words in one or more specific languages, often listedalphabetically (or by radical and stroke for ideographic languages), with usage of information, definitionsetymologiesphoneticspronunciations, translation, and other information;[1] or a book of words in one language with their equivalents in another, also known as a lexicon.[1] It is a lexicographical product designed for utility and function, curated with selected data, presented in a way that shows inter-relationships among the data.[2]

A broad distinction is made between general and specialized dictionaries. Specialized dictionaries do not contain information about words that are used in language for general purposes—words used by ordinary people in everyday situations. Lexical items that describe concepts in specific fields are usually called terms instead of words, although there is no consensus whether lexicology andterminology are two different fields of study. In theory, general dictionaries are supposed to be semasiological, mapping word to definition, while specialized dictionaries are supposed to be onomasiological, first identifying concepts and then establishing the terms used to designate them. In practice, the two approaches are used for both types.[3] There are other types of dictionaries that don't fit neatly in the above distinction, for instance bilingual (translation) dictionaries, dictionaries ofsynonyms (thesauri), or rhyming dictionaries. The word dictionary (unqualified) is usually understood to refer to a monolingual general-purpose dictionary.[4]
A different dimension on which dictionaries (usually just general-purpose ones) are sometimes distinguished is whether they are prescriptive or descriptive, the latter being in theory largely based on linguistic corpus studies—this is the case of most modern dictionaries. However, this distinction cannot be upheld in the strictest sense. The choice of headwords is considered itself of prescriptive nature; for instance, dictionaries avoid having too many taboo words in that position. Stylistic indications (e.g. ‘informal’ or ‘vulgar’) present in many modern dictionaries is considered less than objectively descriptive as well.[5]
Although the first recorded dictionaries date back to Sumerian times (these were bilingual dictionaries), the systematic study of dictionaries as objects of scientific interest themselves is a 20th-century enterprise, called lexicography, and largely initiated by Ladislav Zgusta.[4] The birth of the new discipline was not without controversy, the practical dictionary-makers being sometimes accused by others of "astonishing" lack of method and critical-self reflection.[6]

ADOBE PHOTO SHOP 7.0

ADOBE PHOTO SHOP 7.0
DESCRIPTION:
Photoshop was created in 1988 by Thomas and John Knoll. Since then, it has become the de facto industry standard in raster graphics editing, such that the terms "photoshopping" and "photoshop contest" were born. It can edit and compose raster images in multiple layers and supports masksalpha compositing and several color models includingRGBCMYKLab color space (with capital L), spot color and duotone. Photoshop has vast support for graphic file formats but also uses its own PSD and PSB file formats which support all the
aforementioned features. In addition to raster graphics, it has limited abilities to edit or render text, vector graphics (especially through clipping path), 3D graphics and video. Photoshop's featureset can be expanded byPhotoshop plug-ins, programs developed and distributed independently of Photoshop that can run inside it and offer new or enhanced features.
Photoshop's naming scheme was initially based on version numbers. However, on October 2004, following the introduction of Creative Suitebranding, each new version of Photoshop was designated with "CS" plus a number; e.g. the eighth major version of Photoshop was Photoshop CS and the ninth major version was Photoshop CS2. Photoshop CS3 through CS6 were also distributed in two different editions: Standard and Extended. In June 2013, with the introduction ofCreative Cloud branding, Photoshop's licensing scheme was changed to that of software as a service and the "CS" suffixes were replaced with "CC". Historically, Photoshop was bundled with additional software such as Adobe ImageReadyAdobe FireworksAdobe BridgeAdobe Device Central and Adobe Camera RAW.
Alongside Photoshop, Adobe also develops and publishes Photoshop ElementsPhotoshop LightroomPhotoshop Express and Photoshop Touch. Collectively, they are branded as "The Adobe Photoshop Family".

ADOBE FLASH PLAYER LATEST VERSION

ADOBE FLASH PLAYER
description:
Adobe Flash (formerly called Macromedia Flash and Shockwave Flash) is a multimedia and software platform used for creating vector graphics, animationgames and rich Internet applications (RIAs) that can be viewed, played and executed in Adobe Flash Player. Flash is frequently used to servestreaming media, advertisement and interactive multimedia content on web pages and Flash-enabled software. However usage of Flash on websites is declining.[1]
Flash manipulates vector and raster graphics to provide animation of text, drawings, and still images. It allows bidirectional streaming of audio and video, and it can capture mouse, keyboard, microphone and camera input. Interactive Flash animations are created using the object-oriented languagecalled ActionScript. Flash content can be developed using an IDE such Adobe Flash Professional. Adobe's attempt to foster open source Flash development appears to have been abandoned.
Adobe Flash Player makes Flash contents accessible on WindowsOS X and Linux, some smartphones and tablets, and a few other electronic devices using Flash Lite. It is available free of charge for web browsers as a plug-in. Flash-enabled computer programs can be created with Adobe AIR
